The story behind my work as a designer
I’m a strategic marketing manager with 12+ years of experience in startup environments. I build both brand and culture in emergent business categories. The consummate startup professional wearer of many hats.
I am a forever student continuously learning in formal and informal settings. I've filled almost every role within a marketing department and expanded my management experience steadily with grit and diligence, humility and grace.
I believe everyone is capable of greatness.
I'm interested in knowing what inspires people and supports them in thriving. I want to improve lives, specifically by providing ways for people to meaningfully connect. We all deserve to experience real belonging in the places we live, work, and grow together.
I am mission-driven and interested in transforming the business landscape to better serve humanity for generations to come.
When I'm not working...
you can find me exploring our world. I love natural and built environments and could reasonably be attending a modern art exhibit or admiring the sunset from high on a mountain somewhere.
I am fascinated with the connections between technology and society. I'm a future oriented systems thinker and truly believe we can build a prosperous society for everyone's benefit.

Treehouse Interior
We turned an old Serta mattress warehouse store into a premier cannabis showroom with gallery lighting and art filled walls, while still striking a casual laid back Santa Cruz vibe. I was part of the design construction management and buildout teams.
Uptoke Spyre Tech Specs
We created posters and counter mats of the tech specs of our vaporizer for conversation starters and sent them to over 500 retail outlets for launch.

Self Awareness
All change comes first from awareness. Cultivating awareness of my own feelings and preferences and then awareness of others perceptions of me is a life-long practice.
Growth
I believe in every situation there is always more to learn and that you can learn something from everyone. This mindset keeps me evolving and also keeps me humble.
Curiosity
Approaching the world with a sense of wonder and curiosity allows for constantly novel paths of exploration and discovery. It is the fuel for inquiry, empathy, and learning.
Follow Through
We are defined by what we do, not what we say we will do. Following through on commitments requires discipline and grit but sets leaders apart from the crowd.
Authenticity
Authenticity is about the choice to show up each day and be real. It requires vulnerability, transparency, and integrity. It allows us to deeply connect and have impact on others.
Inclusivity
Inclusion is a skill that takes courage, empathy, and practice. Once it is mastered however it gives everyone a voice and whole new perspectives become available.
